ameliatokarska, arranger, celticharptales, composer, dolbyatmos, newalbum, producer

We’re excited to share that the new album “Celtic Harp Tales” is now available in an immersive Dolby Atmos and binaural mix! This groundbreaking release opens a new sonic chapter for harp music, bringing a deeply spatial and emotional experience to listeners around the world.

Paweł Biliński, producer and arranger of the album, shares: “One of the core ideas behind this album was to present it in a Dolby Atmos mix — so that anyone, even in the comfort of their own home, could be immersed in a unique sonic environment. Thanks to modern streaming services, that vision is now a reality.”

The album had its official premiere on February 28, 2025, during a special cinema Atmos listening session — a sold-out event! You can now watch highlights and interviews with Amelia Tokarska, Paweł Biliński, and Tadeusz Mieczkowski on YouTube (English subtitles included).

About the album

It is a piece that expresses the deepest longing for elemental nature and our roots. This Irish tune, adapted, is a journey into distant times and a song in honour of the Great Oak of Portmore. Once again, the simple but distinctly beautiful melody reminds us essence of the tale.

It’s a simple but lovely song related to Scotland’s 18th century history. Although its origin story reminds sad and painful events, it is often associated with a farewell song. Paweł Biliński has chosen this traditional song and arranged it in a minimalist approach to bring out the maximum amount of emotion from a simple but profoundly beautiful melody. Here you’ll hear Celtic harp by Amelia Tokarska, 5-string violin (sounds like viola, that’s right) by Krzysztof Maciejowski, magical additions of percussion by Sławek Berny and some of my keyboard spaces.

Another album underway

2024-05-06
arranger, composer, dolbyatmos, krzysztofmaciejowski, newalbum, producer, tadeuszmieczkowski

Definitely shorter this time, but lots of specifics to share with you. As I wrote a few months ago, together with my friend, the excellent violinist and arranger Krzysztof Maciejowski, we recorded a concept album. The recording sessions took place in August last year. The sound engineer was Tadeusz Mieczkowski, who realised the recording in full Dolby Atmos™ standard ready for Binaural listening as well, using a dozen DPA microphones and more. What we were aiming for was to bring out a warm homemade sound, so the recordings took place in a flat in a 100-year-old building. The main instruments on the album are a 70-year-old piano and a 5-string violin.

The album is meant to be a collection of stories about longing for a carefree childhood as seen from an adult’s perspective. It is a journey between warm and cold colours, between joy and sadness, between the sunrises and sunsets of passing days.

We’ll be sharing the next stages of production soon, but for now, keep your fingers crossed for the mixes to close.

Stay tuned!

Mixing sessions for the new album

2024-03-12
ameliatokarska, arranger, cavatinahall, celticharp, celticmusic, harp, newalbum, polishradio, producer, studio, tadeuszmieczkowski

As I already announced, this year will see the premiere of harpist Amelia Tokarska’s debut album, of which I am the producer, arranger and art director. After completing all the recording sessions – several at the The Cavatina Hall in Bielsko-Biała and a few in Studio S2 of the Polish Radio, it was time for the mixing sessions. Together with the amazing Tadeusz Mieczkowski, we are working intensively on the sound quality in his Mastersound studio – stereo and Dolby Atmos™ mixes. Setup made for recording harps, including few pairs of top-quality microphones (DPA, Neumann, Shoeps, Royer, Coles) gave incredible possibilites to make harps, percussion and whistles sound natural, wide and without cutting any important details. The fantastic experience of one of Europe’s top sound engineers gives me confidence that the album will be of the highest audio quality.

P.S: We already know under which label the album will be published, but you’ll have to be patient for a while yet! It’s going to be a truly amazing adventure.

Stay tuned, we’re getting closer in this project but it’s not the only one I’m working on.

Sessions in Polish Radio for upcoming album

2023-10-30
arranger, celticmusic, composer, newalbum, polishradio, producer, studio

In October, I had the opportunity to organise additional recording sessions for Amelia Tokarska’s upcoming harp album with my adaptations of Celtic music. As part of the session, whistles and pipes were recorded with the participation of virtuoso Marcin Rumiński from the band SHANNON, known for his collaborations with such artists as Zbigniew Namysłowski, Grzegorz Turnau, Michał Urbaniak and many others. The incredible Tadeusz Mieczkowski was in charge of mixing and mastering of the entire upcoming album. Several types of whistles and pipes were included as a complementary element in the album, an important part of the adaptation of more and less known Celtic music harp themes. The recordings were made in the S2 studio of Polish Radio and are ready for release also in Dolby Atmos™ standard. The session was a great pleasure for me as a producer, arranger and art-director of this project. There was a profound understanding between me, Marcin and Tadeusz in terms of (not only) the musical aspects.

Stay tuned, more news is coming soon!
